Cardi B’s NFL boyfriend Stefon Diggs has been confirmed as the father of Instagram model Eileen Lopera’s baby, Charlie Harper Diggs-Lopera.
“Paternity has been confirmed. Mr. Diggs is the father of the child,” Lopera’s attorney, Tamar Alminak, told Page Six on Wednesday. “Now that the paternity of the child has been established and Mr. Diggs recognizes his daughter, my client hopes that he can strive to be a great parent to his child.”
Although Diggs’ paternity issues have been resolved, Lopera’s attorney exclusively told Page Six that the case has not yet been dismissed and will “proceed if the parties cannot resolve[the issue]on their own.”
Diggs’ attorney did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment. The Sun newspaper was the first to report the news.
The Fashion Nova ambassador filed a paternity lawsuit against Diggs, 31, in December 2024.
At the time of the complaint, Ms. Lopera asked the court to award legal and physical custody of the child and only visitation rights to Ms. Diggs. She also demanded that the Patriots star pay all of her pregnancy and childbirth expenses as well as her legal fees.
The model gave birth to a baby girl in April.
In July, Diggs responded to Lopera’s paternity lawsuit by requesting genetic testing to prove he was the father of Lopera’s baby, saying he was “not sure” of paternity.
If the results prove Charlie’s parentage, Diggs demands joint legal and physical custody of Charlie, as well as a 50-50 split in pregnancy and childbirth costs and attorney fees.
Diggs has since been dating rapper Cardi B, who is currently pregnant with their first child.
The “I Like It” hitmaker announced her fourth pregnancy during an interview on “CBS Morning” in September.
“I have a child with my boyfriend Stefon Diggs,” she revealed to Gayle King after months of speculation.
“I’m excited. I’m happy. I feel like I’m in a good space. I feel so strong. I feel so powerful doing all this work. But I’m doing all this work while making a baby.”
Cardi, 33, has three children, Kulture, 7, Wave, 4, and Blossom, 1, with her estranged husband Offset.
Diggs is also the father of 9-year-old daughter Nova, whom he welcomed with ex Tyler Marie in October 2016.
