Content: “The Other Side,” a supernatural horror story in which a panda bows at a Hong Kong Filmmart.
Directed by Kim Jung-min, produced by Nargae Entertainment (“Rhapsody for the Dead,” “Girls’ Fantasy”), and starring Cha Sun-woo (“Cursed Man,” “Reply 1994”) and Lee Ru-da (“Rinza Noodle House”), the film aims to bow in 2026.
In the film, three strangers, a writer, a creditor, and a detective, gather in a remote cabin with their own agendas. Strange events rapidly destabilize the group, and the writer becomes increasingly agitated, convinced that the place has an inexplicable hold over her creative abilities. When a body is discovered and evidence of a malevolent presence is uncovered, detectives begin to piece together what is hidden in the cabin, while others desperately search for a way out.
This title joins two previously announced Content Panda titles on the market. “The Second Child” is a mystery dark fantasy horror directed by Yoo Eun-jung (“Ghost Walk”) and produced by Film Run (“Moonlight Winter,” “Merry Christmas Mr. Mo”), starring Im Soo-jung (“Spider’s Web,” “Woochi”), Park So-i (“Atypical Family,” “The Revenant”), and Yuna (“Dark Nun,” “Pachinko”). The story is about a young woman who regains consciousness after a three-year coma and is confronted by a vision of her deceased sister, and as her mother searches for the truth behind her sister’s death, dark genetic secrets dating back centuries are gradually revealed. Their separate investigations converge when they encounter a stranger with an eerie resemblance to the dead girl.
Also, the previously announced “The Ultimate “Duo” is directed by Park Chul-hwan (“Blood Free”, “The Grid”) and stars Bae Sung-woo (“Road to Boston”, “Beasts at Straw”), Jung Ga-ram (“Love Alarm”, “Cho Pil-ho: Night Generation Blue Film (“Cho Pil-ho: Dawn of Fury”, “Detective K: Secret of the Living Dead”) is a crime action drama starring Esom (“Kill Bok-sun”, “Escape”). The film pairs a disgraced local detective with an ambitious rookie detective who has built a reputation as a social media influencer even before joining the force. The unlikely pair become involved in a Gangnam murder case that has already been officially solved with another suspect, and are forced to travel to Seoul to track down the person believed to be the real culprit. We are aiming for a release in the second quarter of 2026.
