Paramount has appointed Ally McLarty to the newly created role of senior vice president of global communications.
She will report to Brooke Robertson, the studio’s executive vice president of global communications.
Mr. McLarty previously served as Senior Vice President of Corporate and Financial Communications for Paramount Global, where he was responsible for corporate, policy and legal media relations and communications strategy. In that role, she worked with executives across film, television, streaming and other key areas of the Paramount ecosystem.
“This is an exciting transition for Ally, as this structure provides Mr. Brook with additional senior-level support across Paramount Pictures, Paramount Television Studios and the fledgling Paramount Sports Entertainment, while maintaining continuity across key corporate areas as we strengthen and prioritize the storytelling of our content,” Melissa Zukerman, Paramount’s chief communications officer, said in a memo to staff. “At the same time, Ally will continue to fulfill important corporate responsibilities, including government affairs and litigation support.”
Mr. Zukerman further added, “Over 18 months ago, PSKY I met Allie when the Comms integration began, and she has since become a core member of my team that I rely on every day. I am thrilled that she will take on this new role and will continue to be a vibrant part of my expanded organization.”
McLarty was at Edelman before Paramount. At a PR agency, he advised Fortune 500 companies as Senior Vice President of Special Situations and Co-Head of U.S. operations. She began her career in political campaigns, serving on the official staff of Sen. Mark Kirk (R-Ill.) in Washington, D.C.
