CNN’s Thanksgiving coverage includes a main course and some side dishes.
Warner Bros. Discovery Outlet’s second annual “Thanksgiving in America” broadcast will offer You-are-There viewers a massive parade across the United States and a selection of food and comedy-themed streaming-only options.
CNN’s Thanksgiving Day coverage from 8 a.m. ET to noon ET will be led by anchors John Berman, Sarah Sydner and Erica Hill, all from New York City. The trio will guide viewers through live highlights of Thanksgiving parades in New York City, Philadelphia, Chicago, Houston and Detroit, with celebrity guests sharing their holiday traditions.
Coverage will include musical performances by Brad Paisley, The Temptations, The Four Tops, the cast of the Broadway musical Six, and the Harlem Gospel Choir. Also scheduled to appear are Alex Guarnaschelli, Craig Robinson, Henry Winkler, Jeremy Renner, Jonathan Groff, Lea Michele, Leighton Meester, Michelle Monaghan, Pentatonix, and Simu Liu.
Participating CNN correspondents include Andy Scholes, Brad Smith, Fred Preitgen, Harry Enten, Isabel Rosales and Whitney Wilde.
In recent years, CNN has promoted it as a destination during major holidays such as New Year’s Eve and, more recently, Independence Day.
CNN will offer tailored programming on its new “All Access” service, including live feeds of each Thanksgiving parade and the Nantucket Turkey Plunge. The day before Thanksgiving, CNN will stream live coverage of the parade balloon inflation in New York City and the Thanksgiving Day Parade in Charlotte, North Carolina for its subscribers.
Some new streaming content is debuting ahead of the holiday season. Starting Thursday, CNN streaming subscribers will have access to cooking demos from Food Network’s Alex Guarnaschelli, Brian Voltaggio and Michael Voltaggio. A guide to the perfect holiday table setting from ‘Queer Eye’s’ Bobby Berk. and “Gobble Gobble Gone Wrong: Thanksgiving Day Mishaps,” a special focused on humorous table disasters hosted by CNN’s Enten.
CNN announced early Thursday that it plans to co-produce and distribute the latest season of Variety’s interview series “Actors on Actors.”
