Spoiler Alert: This article contains major spoilers for Sam Raimi’s “Send Help,” now in theaters.

Sam Raimi’s twisted thriller Send Help, written by Damian Shannon and Mark Swift and released in theaters Friday through 20th Century Studios, is full of shocking moments. Too scared to see Raimi’s new project on the big screen? Too busy watching “Melania” over and over again? Keep reading to break down all the big moments from “Send Help.”

Linda Riddle, played by Rachel McAdams, works at Nepo Baby’s new CEO, Bradley Preston (Dylan O’Brien), who doesn’t know or care that her late father has promised her the position of vice president. Although she is good at number crunching, he leaves that task to a sly friend from college and condescendingly asks her to come with him on a trip abroad to help him with his work while he golfs.

Unfortunately, the private plane crashes and Linda and Bradley are the only survivors, being washed away to a deserted island. Bradley is lucky. Linda is an avid “Survivor” fan and loves reading adventure books, so she’s amazingly skilled at building shelters, fire, and increasingly complex items like hats and backpacks.

However, while Linda helps Bradley, who has injured his leg and is not an outdoorsman, she is rude and bossy towards him, and carries her office attitude into her outdoor life. At some point Linda abandoned him and Bradley quickly realized that he needed Linda to survive. He apologized and they were at peace with each other for a while.

But their goodwill doesn’t last long. Linda, who is more mobile than Bradley, explores the island and occasionally notices boats approaching. However, she keeps this information secret as she enjoys being the leader of the island.

Bradley becomes increasingly warm towards Linda, but soon Linda begins to think that he doesn’t want them to be saved. There he cooks dinner for her, but it contains poisonous berries, which temporarily incapacitates her. He uses the opportunity to try to escape on a homemade raft, but quickly dies. Linda has to save him again. She then regains control by giving Bradley a poisoned fish, which leaves him paralyzed but his mind and eyes clear. She then pretends to castrate him, but only kills a rat, and uses this opportunity to let him know that she is not to be taken lightly.

A few weeks after the plane crash, Linda is spotted walking in the woods by Bradley’s fiancée Zuri (Edil Ismail), who hires a private guide to find him and the other survivors. However, Zuri falls down a winding mountain road, and Linda attacks her personal guide who was trying to save her, and the two fall to their deaths.

Shortly after, Bradley sees Zuri’s hand (with an engagement ring on her finger) flying out of the waves and believes Linda killed her. The two begin to fight, and Bradley flees to a part of the island that Linda has not recommended due to poisonous plants. However, they realized that there was actually a large mansion there, and that this was the place where ships were coming and going.

Linda catches up with him and reveals that for weeks he has been sourcing supplies from a house owned by a billionaire who has never existed. Bradley gains the upper hand and attempts to kill her, but Linda snatches a shotgun from the house and points it at Bradley.

At this point, Bradley tells Linda that he has changed, that he loves her, and begs for his life. But she doesn’t buy it, and he rushes to get the gun. When he pointed it at her, he found it empty, at which point Linda hit him to death with a golf club.

Cut to a year later, where Linda is playing a celebrity golf game and telling reporters how excited she is that her memoir about her escape will be made into a movie. She said she was also writing a self-help book, drove off in her gorgeous car, and lived a happy life until the end credits rolled.

Now that you know the plot, check out the trailer for “Send Help” below.
