overview
Naomi osaka has prepared to play the 2025 US Open with a black and white red Nike look. Her outfits included a cropped jacket, a bubble hem skirt, and custom rose detection hair accessories and sneakers.
Naomi Osaka stepped in a red look from head to toe towards the court at Louis Armstrong Stadium for her first match at the 2025 US Open. The four-time Grand Slam champion carried her racket bag and Nike Duffel, wearing a bubble hem skirt in the same fiery tint as an decorated cropped jacket.
Osaka completed the entrance with a black visor and sparkling red headphones. Covered in red ornament, the matching Lovebu charm, named Billy Jean Bling in honor of tennis legend, hung from her bag to tie the look.
She paired her outfit with bright red Nike sneakers, specifically designed for the tournament.
Osaka’s styling has expanded beyond apparel and footwear. Her hair is decorated with sparkling rose accessories, continuing the floral theme found in custom Nike GP Challenge 1 sneakers. Released just before her match, the tournament-specific design features layered red tones with black swoosh and rose printing details throughout the shoe. The insole also features her personalized “no” logo, marking the initials.
This flower orientation is the latest in a series of iconic costume choices in Osaka for 2025. Earlier this year, she performed in sunflower-esque sneakers and hair accessories at the Australian Open, and debuted the cherry blossom motif during the French Open. In Roland Garos, she explained the theme and told reporters, “The shoes are Sakura themed, which is just in time for spring, the cherry blossom season. It follows the floral story we have all year round.”
She also pointed out another detail. “I don’t know if I’ll be able to see it all the way out of here, but I did my nails. They’re also Sakura themed. They’re really sticking to the flower stories we have.”
Beyond her fashion, Osaka highlighted how important the US opening is to her. When asked at a pre-tournament press conference about memories she could share with her daughter, Shy, in the future, she said.
