OnlyFans owner Leonid Radvinsky has died at the age of 43 after a “long battle with cancer.”
A company spokesperson announced Mr. Radvinsky’s death on Monday, saying:
“Leo passed away peacefully after a long battle with cancer,” the statement continued. “His family requests privacy at this difficult time.”
The Ukrainian-American billionaire leaves behind his wife, Katie Rudvinsky, and four children.
Leonid, who has kept his personal life away from the spotlight, became the owner of OnlyFans in 2018 by purchasing OnlyFans’ parent company, Fenix International Limited.
At the time of the entrepreneur’s death, he was a director and the largest shareholder.
This subscription-based adult entertainment platform was specifically founded in 2016 by father-son pair Guy and Tim Stokely.
The star-studded list of top creators includes Bella Thorne, Iggy Azalea, Cardi B, and more.
Last year, Reuters reported that Leonid was in talks to sell OnlyFans to a group of investors at a valuation of about $8 billion.
In addition to being the owner of OnlyFans, Leonid was also an angel visitor for many other companies and described himself as a “venture capital investor, philanthropist, and technology entrepreneur” through LinkedIn.
He was born in Odessa but immigrated from Ukraine and grew up in Chicago.
Leonid earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from Northwestern University in 2002.
