For fans of beloved superhero satire, the wait is almost over.
Major manga and anime platform Viz Media has revealed that the highly anticipated third season of “One Punch Man” will premiere on multiple streaming platforms around the world on October 12th.
The new season will be available on Hulu in the US and Disney+ in Canada, with Netflix operating the series in Latin America, Australia and New Zealand. Latin American and Oceania fans can also stream the premiere on Crunchyroll.
This announcement marks a multi-platform rollout that is important for global smash hit anime. This follows the award adventure, an overwhelming hero who defeats all his opponents in one punch. The acquisition of Viz Media includes theater, television, digital, home entertainment, subsidies and product rights across North America, Latin America and Oceania.
Season 3 will be featured in Monster Association Arc to help S-Class Heroes unite and save hostages filmed by monsters claiming to partner with villain organizations. The storyline also follows Garou, the “human monster” who wakes up in a Monster Association hideout after being captured during battle.
The series was adapted from the manga created by one and drawn by Murata Yusuke, and has achieved incredible success with over 35 million copies. The original manga is continuous in Shuisha’s web comic site Tonari’s Young Jump.
Furukawa returns to Saitama, the voice protagonist, and Ishikawa Kaito has changed his role as Genos. The production features direction by shinpei nagai, series composition by Suzhiro, and animation by JC staff.
Seasons 1 and 2 are currently streaming on Hulu in the US and Netflix in Canada and Latin America. Digital purchases are available from Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, Google TV, and Fandango at home.
The anime premiered in October 2015 and received extensive acclaim for its satirical take on superhero ratios and stunning action sequences. The second season continued in 2019.
