Olivia Culpo is opening up about the emotional part of being a first-time mother.
While preparing to watch her husband Christian, a running back for the San Francisco 49ers.
McCaffrey will play in Philadelphia’s wild-card round matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, but in a GRWM video posted on January 10, Olivia opened up about her experience as a first-time mother and how football season has affected it.
Speaking to the camera while wearing a TikTok outfit, the new mom said taking the weekend away for the game was the first time she’d been away from her newborn daughter Colette for an extended period of time.
Olivia admitted that she was “very nervous” and “couldn’t sleep” during the game, which put the 49ers’ playoff continuity in jeopardy, before adding that the game was “the first time I was away from my baby.”
“That’s why I was crying yesterday,” she admitted.
Olivia also said she was excited about her game outfit, which she styled around a shirt with her husband’s last name on it.

“I’m really excited about what I’m wearing today,” she said.
“They’re a little less boring than the clothes I’ve been wearing lately. Now that I’m finally not breastfeeding, I can go to the gym. I feel like my clothes are starting to fit me a little better.”
In the end, the 49ers won the game, defeating the Eagles and advancing to the NFC divisional playoffs. This weekend, the team will play the Seattle Seahawks at Lumen Field in Seattle.
Olivia frequently posts online about her journey as a new mom, sharing snaps of herself breastfeeding, candid videos about gaining weight during pregnancy, and snaps of herself and Colette attending a 49ers home game to cheer on McCaffrey.
Back in September, the then 11-week-old baby girl attended her father’s game, as her aunt Sofia Culpo shared a social media snapshot.
Sofia posted some sweet snaps from the game, including multiple photos of Olivia posing while breastfeeding her daughter.
This little girl definitely follows in her fashionable mother’s footsteps and wears adorable, themed outfits to every game.

She also turned heads before her first home game on Sept. 21, wearing her own custom “McCaffrey” jersey along with her signature red hair ribbon, as she was on hand to give hugs and kisses to her excited father.
McCaffrey revealed what being with his daughters means to him before each game, telling PEOPLE in December that his family is “one of the reasons I play.”
“When you see them right before you go into battle, you’re immediately reminded why you’re doing it.”
“Having my family there means everything,” he added at the time. “I got to watch my dad play when I was a kid. She won’t remember that, but just knowing that my dad was there to see me play means a lot to me.”
Olivia and Christian gave birth to a baby girl in July and shared the news in a joint social media post.
In a follow-up post to her Instagram Stories, Olivia described Colette’s birth as “the scariest and most rewarding of all experiences,” adding of Christian: “The moment he walked into the room, I felt the most at peace.”
