“NYPD Blue” alum Kim Delaney’s husband James Morgan was taken into custody Sunday night at his Los Angeles home after an alleged altercation.
A spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department told Page Six that officers responded to at least three separate calls about noise complaints at the couple’s apartment in the Marina del Rey neighborhood around 10:30 p.m.
Morgan is said to have refused to cooperate with the investigation and was charged with obstructing a public servant, being late, and disturbing the peace.
He was arrested at the Marina Del Rey Sheriff’s Station but released as of Monday morning.
A representative for Delaney, 64, did not immediately respond to Page Six for comment.
Meanwhile, Morgan’s arrest came after she was granted a restraining order against him in October for allegations of continued abuse and harassment, Us Weekly reported.
The restraining order prohibits Morgan from approaching Marina Del Rey and Delaney’s New Jersey home, and from communicating with her.
According to the newspaper, Morgan and Delaney married in 2022, but have been in divorce proceedings since March 2023.
At the time, the “All My Children” alum cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for their breakup, even though she and Morgan had repeatedly posed a united front.
Meanwhile, Delaney was arrested in April last year on suspicion of trying to run Morgan over with his car.
Insiders told TMZ at the time that the two had been fighting for several days before law enforcement intervened.
Delaney reported Morgan for domestic violence after they got into a “violent argument that escalated into a physical argument.”
Morgan reportedly left the apartment complex that night but returned the next morning.
As a result, Delaney called the police, and when they arrived, Morgan told them that his wife had tried to hit him with her car and showed them the video.
Delaney was charged with a felony count of assault with a deadly weapon, and Morgan was charged with a misdemeanor count.
A few days later, Delaney shared a sweet message wishing her husband a happy birthday on Instagram, and the couple appeared to have patched up their differences.
Alongside a photo of a bouquet of colorful flowers, she wrote, “Birthday boy, 55 years old!!!!! Your wife loves you, my man! 🌹.”
However, Mr Delaney has avoided sharing photos with Mr Morgan since May 2025.
