“Doctor Who” star Noel Clark was arrested Thursday after his London home was searched by police, according to the Guardian.
Capital police detectives were seen leaving actor Kensington’s property in a box on Thursday morning, the Guardian reported, and Clark was arrested and taken into custody. The reason for his arrest is currently unknown, and he was eventually released. According to the Guardian, Clark’s investigation began on September 1st and is being led by the Central Specialist Crime Command.
Diversity has reached out to Metropolitan Police and Clark’s attorneys for comment.
In August, Clark sued the newspaper publisher for the first revelation detailing allegations of sexual misconduct from a woman in 2021, which lost her honor case against the Guardian. He is currently ordered to pay £3 million ($4 million) of the Guardian legal costs. He testified against Clark during the six-week trial, claiming that each individual experienced cheating by the actor personally. He denied acting sexually inappropriately with them.
“This decision is a natural victory for a woman who suffered because of Noel Clark’s actions,” said Guardian News and Media in Thief Catherine Vinner in a post-ruling statement. “It’s difficult and stressful to go to court, but over 20 women agreed to testify in the High Court and refused to be bullied or threatened.”
