Dylan Walsh reportedly reportedly told police he was drinking and that officers found an open container with white claws in his crashed car after a horrifying accident with his New Jersey family last week.
According to a Rumson Police Department police report obtained by TMZ, officers found an open cooler bag in “NIP/Tuck” star Ford Explorer with empty, empty, white clawed hard seltzer cans.
Witnesses also told officers they heard Walsh’s wife, Leslie Bourk, who was said to have repeatedly cried out “get the bag out of the back seat” before police arrived.
According to the report, the 61-year-old actor “appeared very red and very confused.” He told officers he was drinking on his way home from the tavern before crashing.
Two children, Hudson, 12, Amelie, and 13, were in the SUV when they collided with two utility poles.
Walsh was cited in six car violations following the incident, including open alcohol containers, reckless driving, expired registration, failed maintenance, unsafe lane changes/lain maintenance, and failed driving on the sidewalk, the outlet reported.
Walsh’s representatives did not immediately respond to a request for comment on Page 6.
Walsh’s car was originally driving north around 5pm on August 17th before suddenly spinning into the southbound lane and hitting the first pole, Ramson police previously told TMZ.
The car kept moving and eventually slammed against another utility pole.
Two of the five passengers in the vehicle were later taken to Riverview Medical Center after complaining of pain.
Walsh officials confirmed the accident involving the actor and his family and provided an update on their health in a six-page statement last week.
“Thankfully, everyone is safe and have returned since. The family is deeply grateful for the prompt response of Rumson Police, the Fire Department and EMS, and for the care of the staff at Riverview Medical Center,” the statement said.
“They also want to extend their special thanks to River Point Inn’s management and staff for their support shortly afterwards.”
