Nikki Glazer has ensured that she will pay tribute to Rob Reiner at the 2026 Golden Globe Awards with a subtle nod.
In the final moments of the 83rd annual Golden Globe Awards on Sunday, January 11, host Glaser, 44, appeared on stage wearing a black baseball cap that read “Spinal Tap,” a nod to the late director’s 1984 film “This Is Spinal Tap.”
“Well, this is our show. This was 11,” she said, referring to one of the film’s most famous moments between Reiner and co-star Christopher Guest. “Thank you for a great night. I hope you found the line between smart and stupid. Good Chalamet everyone, good night!”
Glazer’s tribute to one of Reiner’s most beloved films comes nearly a month after Reiner, 78, and his wife Michelle, 70, were found dead in their Los Angeles home on December 14th. Their son Nick, 32, has been charged in connection with their deaths.

Rob and Michelle previously received a compliment from comedian Chelsea Handler, who hosted the 2026 Critics’ Choice Awards on Sunday, January 4. At the awards ceremony, Handler described Rob as “the nicest guy in Hollywood.”
Speaking to USA Today before the Globes, Glazer acknowledged that Handler knew Robb better than Robb and was “a close friend of Robb.”
“I knew him, but I didn’t really know much about him. And it’s a delicate thing because we don’t have a memorial service, so we don’t have a whole section dedicated to remembering everyone who died. But I’m planning something to recognize him in my own way and celebrate him in my own way,” she said.

“I don’t want to get too worked up about it, because that’s what we’ve been doing for the past few weeks. But I thought, if something were to happen to me and Rob Reiner ended up hosting the show, given our relationship, how would I want him to handle it? And I think I came up with something that I think he would do for me as well,” she said.
