NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell hinted at the prospect of Taylor Swift playing at the 2026 Super Bowl Halftime Show.
Goodell chatted with Savannah Guthrie and Craig Melvin on Wednesday’s “Today” show, and admitted that Swift is keen on the idea of going to the field in the big game in the big game.
Guthrie asked Goodell if the pop star was invited to headline the halftime show in Santa Clara, California next February, urging the NFL to admit that he “always wants to play Taylor.”
“She’s a special and special talent, and obviously she’ll always be welcome,” said Goodell, 66.
Guthrie pushed him over whether the quick show was “at work.”

“I can’t say anything about it to you,” he admitted before teasing, “It’s probably that.”
Guthrie’s co-host Melvin jumped in to ask when the NFL would decide on halftime talent.
“I’m waiting for my friend Jay-Z to help with that,” Goodell said.
“It’s in his hands,” Goodell added the artist “running through this town.” “I’m waiting for smoke to come out.”
The “Blank Space” singer announced her engagement to Traviskells last week after a two-year date.
Since revealing their love in the summer of 2023, Kelse’s Kansas City Chiefs have played in the Super Bowl for the second year in a row, with Swift cheering for him in both eras.
Last year, the two artists collaborated on their 2014 hit Bad Blood, causing rumours to swirl that Swift would make a cameo on stage at Kendrick Lamar’s halftime show.
However, she stayed in her private suite, where she saw the chief defeated by the Philadelphia Eagles, 40-22.
A year ago, Swift was able to celebrate Kelce’s championship victory with a kiss on the field after the Chiefs defeated the San Francisco 49ers 25-22.
Swift is bubbling in his mouth for the opportunity to see Kelce play in the Super Bowl game and see Swift perform at the halftime show.
According to Goodell, only time can be seen.
