A new “beef” season is about to begin.
Netflix announced the release date for the Emmy Award-winning anthology series on April 16 as part of its broader 2026 announcements, which also included new images of Bridgerton season 4, Avatar Season 2, and more (below).
Season 2 of Beef stars Charles Melton and Cailee Spaeny as a young couple working at a country club who witness an alarming fight between their boss and his wife, played by Oscar Isaac and Carey Mulligan. “Minari” Oscar winner Yoo Jeong-yun and “Parasite” star Song Kang-ho round out the cast for this season, which will feature “chess moves of favor and coercion in the elitist world of country clubs and South Korean billionaire owners.”
The season will consist of eight half-hour episodes, with creator Sung-jin Lee returning as showrunner and executive producer. Steven Yeun and Ali Wong, who starred and executive produced Season 1, join Jake Schreier, Sakurai Kitao, Ethan Cooperberg, and Anna Moench as EPs, along with Mulligan, Isaac, Melton, and Spaeny. This series is produced by A24.
“Beef” returns more than three years after season 1 premiered. Season 1 told the story of two strangers whose lives become dangerously intertwined after a street assault. Season 2 was not officially confirmed until October 2024, but series creator Lee hinted at an anthology of the limited series during the 2023 awards ceremony.
As for other Netflix announcements, ‘Virgin River’ season 7 will premiere on March 12th, and ‘Sweet Magnolia’ season 5 will arrive on June 11th. In addition to photos from these shows, check out ‘Bridgerton’ Season 4, ‘Avatar: The Last Airbender’ and the new series ‘Man on Fire’ below.
