Netflix has unveiled the roster of a new return reality show that will premiere from September to February at a festival event in Seoul, pulling back the curtains with a Korean scriptless programming slate.
Years after launching its unscripted lineup in Korea, Netflix has taken its local reality and competition show to the world wide stage. Viewers who have never seen a Korean scripted show have discovered new favorites by bringing shows like “Physical: 100” and “Culinary Class Wars” to number one on Netflix’s global non-English TV list.
The impact of these shows was significant. “Physics: 100” sparked global fitness trends and influenced new international editions in the US and Italy. And the “Cooking Class War” has brought lesser-known chefs to a global stage, greatly surged restaurant reservations, and renewed interest in fine dining. Meanwhile, the fan favorite, “Singles Inferno,” stands out as the only Korean script series to reach its fifth season.
Upcoming shows include “Crime Scene Zero,” a role-playing mystery game show that premieres on September 23rd. All episodes begin with Park Sung Woong and Joo Hyun Young. “Physics: Asia” premiered in October, with Netflix unveiling teams from eight countries: Korea, Japan, Thailand, Mongolia, Türkiye, Indonesia, Australia and the Philippines.
In November, Netflix will collaborate for the first time with Nah Yung-Suk’s renowned production crew to bring “Kenya’s Three Stupids” to the platform. The series stars Lee Soo Joan, Eun Ji Won and Kyu Hyun on an unpredictable journey across Kenya. December will bring about the return of the intense cooking competition show “Cooking Class Wars Season 2.”
In January 2026, “Singles Inferno” Season 5 debuted, with February showing the comeback for “Agents of Mystery” Season 2, a hybrid adventure and mystery show. Production began in season 3 of “The Devil’s Plan” from the same acclaimed creator Jeong Jongyeon. Recently, Netflix also announced that “Better Late Than Single” will return for season 2.
Finishing the slate is a fresh take on the “Guesthouse Universe,” including “Kian’s B&B Season 2” and “Jae-Suk’s B&B Rules.” Yoo Jae-Seok’s response to the new series has been strong, with over 55,000 teams being guests and around 3,500 interviewing.
