Director Netflix Argentinian Family Drama “27 Nights”, Daniel Hendler (“Novelt’s Deadline”, “Candidate”) will be competing with the San Sebastian Film Festival on September 19th. Opening Night Glass Cleaning will mark the world premiere of the film.
One of the Hanway films will be on a massive sale in Toronto, with a Polish-era neo-noir “Winter Crow” from Casia Adamik in Poland, closing San Sebastian on September 27th.
Filmmaker and actor Hendler, who won Berlin’s Best Actor Award for Daniel Berman’s “The Lost Embrace,” will also appear in “27 Nights,” based on a novel with the same title as Natalia Zito’s novel. The film turns on an 88-year-old billionaire who is being detained by his daughter against her will in a psychiatric ward. Maril Marini’s co-star, “27 Nights,” was produced by Netflix, founded by Agustina Lalmi Campbell and Santiago Mia, and Buenos Aires-based La Union de los Rios, and was nominated for the Miter Oscar “Argentina, 1985.”
The world premiere of Toronto’s famous platform competition, “The Winter of the Crow,” was invited to Lesliemanville, a London-based Lesliemanville, who was invited to lecture in Poland in December 1981, as a flower of the solidarity movement that prompted the Soviet regime to introduce martial law. Called a cat and mouse thriller, “Winter of the Crow” is a British co-produced Poland, produced by the films Produkcja, Iris Productions, and Film and Music Entertainment.
You can read several ways to choose between opening and closing. “27 Nights” can be seen dramatically as a national support contract, beyond film quality, as an act of support for the Argentine film industry. The nighttime status of “The Winter of the Crow” suggests that the appeal of a wide range of viewers is recognized.
