Hours after hitting the red carpet at the season 3 premiere of HBO’s Euphoria, Natasha Lyonne was seen being taken off a flight from Los Angeles to New York.
Lyonne, who joined the show’s cast as a guest star, was seen aboard the Redeye wearing the same black stockings and wraparound shades she wore at the premiere, as well as sneakers and a long black coat.
Earlier, the star appeared on the red carpet at the TLC Chinese Theater in Hollywood wearing a show-stopping sheer top. But on a subsequent flight to New York, Ms. Lyon appeared deflated in her first class seat and refused when a flight attendant asked her to close her laptop and fasten her seatbelt for takeoff.
Witnesses said numerous flight attendants repeatedly tried to get the star to follow their orders, but she appeared to be dozing off with her sunglasses on, at one point freaking out and saying, “Oh! I was scared!”
The laptop was eventually taken from her hand and the plane taxied to the runway, but then returned to the gate.
A Delta Airlines staff member boarded the plane and asked Starr, “Ma’am, do you need medical treatment?” Then they said, “Ma’am, we would like you to get off the plane. Do you need help carrying your belongings?”
“Where are we?” she heard Lyon ask, but she was told, “We’re still in Los Angeles. The plane isn’t going anywhere.” and “The plane isn’t going anywhere until you get off.”
Then she calmly silenced the gate agent who had boarded the vehicle.
Eventually, the star got up and quietly headed to the bathroom, then came out eating a bag of pretzels and obediently exited the plane after her luggage had already been taken out.
After the plane was delayed for just over an hour, the captain told the crowded cabin: “For some reason, we have a passenger… who is not following basic commands… We have a passenger who is not going to be able to go on a mission tonight, so we have decided to book another flight for you. We apologize for the inconvenience, and we will get you to New York as quickly and safely as possible.”
The plane took off without incident, and there were empty seats in first class.
Representatives for Starr did not respond to multiple requests for comment via email, text message and phone call.
A few weeks ago, Rion gave an update on his sobriety status after announcing to fans that he had relapsed in January, writing on X, “Proud to report this kid is doing much better and getting back on his feet.”
Last month she also posted: “I would like to thank our recovery community and our fans for their continued support. While I hope to keep this journey private, I look forward to sharing my experiences, strength, and hope, as is obvious.”
Zendaya, Jacob Elordi and Sydney Sweeney were also spotted on the red carpet at the premiere.
