The war documentary “My Camera, My Gun” won the TAICCA × CNC Award at the closing ceremony of TCCF Pitching, a four-day pitching event held during the Taiwan Creative Content Fest (November 4-7).
The Portuguese-Japanese collaboration by Moon Road Media & Films received a $30,000 prize from the award’s two sponsors: Taiwan Creative Content Agency (TAICCA), which hosts TCCF, and France’s National Center for Cinema, Image and Animation (CNC). The award also provides industry resources to support the entry of winning projects into the European market.
IPis Innovation’s “Do You Still Love Me” emerged as the most awarded project in the competition, winning five awards. The breakup-themed series won Eastern Broadcasting Corporation’s EBC Original IP Potential Award, Taiwan Mobile’s MyVideo Content Power Award, Formosa Television’s Formosa TV Award, TVBS Media’s TVBS Storytting Impact Grand Award, and udnFunLife IP Potential Award.
In the feature film category, Calendar Studios’ “Goodbye My Love” won two awards: the CJ ENM HK Global Vision Award and the Chiayi City Cultural Affairs Bureau’s PHAH Chiayi Story Development Award (NT$300,000/$9,682). Bridgehead’s “Mother Tongue” also won the Taiwan High Speed Rail Beautiful Journey Award and the Taipei Film Commission’s Taipei International Film Award (NT$300,000/$9,682) twice.
A co-production between Seesaw Productions and Q&A Entertainment, “Naked in Glendale” won both the Goldhouse Distinction Award and the Udine Far East Film Festival’s Udine Focus Asia Award. The Gold House Distinction Award includes free lifetime membership and provides access to global funding, networking opportunities and professional consulting services.
Other notable project winners include D-Day Pictures’ “Soul Lantern,” which won the Hami Video Creation Award (NT$600,000/$19,364) from Chunghwa Telecom, and “Never the Bride,” a co-production between Fire and Ice Media, Ghost City Films and Volos Films, which won both 2025 TCCF MyPick Project Awards. (NT$100,000/$3,227) and one of two Series Mania Awards.
In the Chi Lin Future Makers Awards category, organized by the Chi Lin Charitable Foundation, “How sweet does honey taste?” Woooz Pictures and Now Delhi’s “Pivot” won the documentary category (NT$500,000/$16,136), AwesomeWorks Production and partners “Pivot” won the feature film category (NT$500,000/$16,136), and Brilliant Animation studio “Titi & Roro” won the Animation Award (NT$500,000/$16,136).
The documentary “How Sweet Does Honey Taste?” proved to be versatile and even won the Dock Edge Award at New Zealand’s Dock Edge Film Festival. Dream Sequenze’s “Up to the Buffalo” won both Taiwan’s Ministry of Environment’s “Sustainable Future Award” and In-Docs’ “Docs by the Sea Award” which guarantees participation in Docs by the Sea 2025.
In the story category, Mirror Fiction’s “Rogue Books” won the TAICCA Award for Best Story (NT$300,000 / $9,682), and another work by Mirror Fiction, “Sketches of a Female Serial Killer: Taiwan’s Only Female Death Row Inmate and the Murder Case That Shocked the Nation” won the 2025 TCCF MyPick Story Award. Mirror Fiction also won a Glory IP Award for “Promise to Bring You Home,” giving the publisher a total of three awards.
This year’s TCCF Pitching category received over 700 project submissions from 44 countries, competing for 41 awards and a record-breaking total prize money of NT$10.1 million ($326,000). The ceremony recognized projects across multiple categories, including series, feature films, documentaries, and storylines, with awards presented by major Taiwanese broadcasters, streaming platforms, international festivals, and production companies.
