Jordan Gatiquala, the husband of “Mormon Wives” star Jesse Draper Gatiquala, filed for divorce in Utah on Thursday, according to court documents obtained by Page Six.
According to TMZ, Jordan, who has been married to Jesse for five years, said: “This was not an easy decision and it is with a heavy heart. I am grateful for the memories and lessons we have shared.”
“While our paths are currently going in different directions, my priority remains our children and ensuring they feel loved, supported and protected through this transition period.”
“I intend to approach this next chapter with kindness and respect. I ask for your privacy and understanding as we move through this as a family,” he concluded.
Page Six attempted to contact Jessi but did not immediately hear back.
The former couple, who share a son and daughter together with Jordan’s daughter from a previous relationship, have experienced ups and downs and multiple separations since marrying in 2020. Season 4 of the reality show chronicled the couple working on their marriage after 90 days of separation in 2025.
Jessi told People in November 2025 that Jordan had been emotionally abusive to her before they separated. She said it started after her marriage.
“As soon as it started happening, I thought, ‘Oh, this isn’t normal,’ but it’s also something you get used to. It starts slowly. It’s not like big dramatic things happen all at once. It’s small actions over time, but then all of a sudden you look back and it’s so deep that you can’t do much about it,” she told the outlet.
Jessi appeared unfazed on social media on Thursday, posting a slideshow of selfies with her ring on just the day before. On Thursday, she posted to her Instagram Story a photo of herself practicing a dance move with “Dancing with the Stars” professional Sasha Farber.
The divorce filing comes on the heels of a tumultuous time for the “SLOMW” cast. Fellow star Taylor Frankie Paul last week halted production on Season 5 amid an investigation into the release of a disturbing 2023 video that showed the reality star throwing a chair at ex Dakota Mortensen during a domestic violence incident.
Paul was also scheduled to appear on Season 22 of The Bachelorette, but ABC canceled that as well, saying, “We have made the decision not to move forward with a new season of The Bachelorette at this time. We are focused on supporting our family.”
