“The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” star Mikayla Matthews joked about divorce in a new video featuring her estranged husband, Jace Terry.
In a TikTok video posted Sunday, the reality TV star dipped Taco Bell fries in cheese sauce and lip-synced the words to an audio clip from influencer Mikayla Noguiera.
“And you’re going to want to sit down for this video. I’m going to get a divorce,” she gushed.
“Hold on a minute. Think about it,” she added as Terry walked behind his estranged wife.
“I’m getting a divorce,” Matthews began.
The 26-year-old influencer captioned the video, “Sorry Taco Bell is the only true love of mine 😚🫶🏼@JaceTerry.”
Earlier this month, Matthews announced he was separating from Terry after eight years of marriage.
“We both agreed to separate,” she admitted in a confessional during a Season 4 episode of Hulu’s hit reality show.
The couple’s main storyline this season concerned Matthews’ past sexual abuse and intimacy issues.
“It’s really incredible that everyone gets an opportunity like this and goes out and fulfills their dreams, but because of my health, I haven’t been able to say yes to many opportunities,” the mother of four, who has battled chronic inflammatory response syndrome and postpartum, said in a confessional.
“It’s definitely discouraging and frustrating, and it’s holding me back in other places in my life, like my marriage to Jace,” she added.
Matthews also realized throughout the season that he needed to recover from the sexual abuse he experienced as a child. Otherwise, it will continue to affect her and Terry’s sex life.
“I feel like I’m dealing with so much more than just sex, and obviously I know he’s not going to be like, ‘Okay, well, we can do without it.’ We’re both at a point where we feel really helpless about it,” she explains to co-star and best friend Macy Neely in one scene.
In the episode, Matthews packed up some of her belongings and moved out of her apartment complex with her four children – Beckham, 8, Heaven, 6, Tommy, 4, and Lottie June, 8 months.
Hours after news of their separation surfaced, Matthews teased her “fall.”
