Miranda Lambert is grieving the loss of two domestic animals that have been her longtime friends.
The country music singer announced the news in an Instagram obituary she shared on Nov. 21, in which she revealed that her two miniature horses, Sugar Pie and Adrianna, died on the same day. She also shared photos and videos of herself and the animals to commemorate her loving relationship with them.
“My sweet little nuggets Sugar Pie and Adrianna crossed the Rainbow Bridge today,” Lambert, 42, began her post, adding, “I’ve been with these little guys for 18 years and words can’t express how much joy they’ve brought me.”
She continued, “The best part about being an animal mother is the joy. The worst part is when it comes time to say goodbye.”
“Godspeed little ones. I know you’re both in greener pastures as I type this. See you again someday. Much love,” she concluded.

This isn’t the first time in recent years that the Grammy winner has had to say goodbye to a beloved member of his pet family. In June 2024, she revealed that she lost two of her rescue dogs (Chihuahua/Pug mix Delta Dawn and Great Pyrenees Louise) within six weeks of each other.
“In the last six weeks, two of my best and truest friends have passed away,” she wrote in a two-part Instagram post at the time.
“It’s heartbreaking to lose them,” she continued, adding, “To love something this big, you have to hurt just as much, and they’re worth it.”
Lambert often shares photos of the animals she keeps at her Nashville ranch on social media, sometimes even referring to them as “the ranch.” She also frequently posts about the importance of adopting pets from shelters and supports these efforts through the MuttNation Foundation.
