Millie Bobby Brown had nothing but good things to say about David Harbor on Thursday night’s Stranger Things season 5 premiere.
The 21-year-old actress told Extra at the TCL Chinese Theater days after reports surfaced that she accused Harbor of bullying and harassment, saying she and her 50-year-old co-star are “so lucky to have each other.”
Brown, who plays Eleven on the hit show, said it was “amazing” to be reunited with Harbor, who plays her father, Jim Hopper Jr.
“This show means so much to both of us and to everyone here. This feels like the last 10 years of our lives,” she gushed.
“So we’ve dedicated a lot of that work, and we’re so excited to see it come to the screen,” the “Damsel” star concluded.
Brown and Harbor put on a united front on the red carpet, smiling and posing for photos together.
However, a body language expert described their friendly exchange as “over the top”, the Daily Mail reported.
Judy James told the newspaper that the pair often burst into laughter, saying: “She laughs loudly with her eyes closed, her mouth open and her right hand on her ribs, suggesting that she is incapable of laughter.”
That said, James claimed that the two showed signs of being “happy” and “delighted” in each other’s presence.
“There were no obvious signs of tension,” the expert added.
Representatives for Mr. Haber and Mr. Brown did not immediately respond to Page Six’s requests for comment.
Harbor wore a step-and-repeat pinstripe suit, while Brown showed some skin in a sheer Rodarte dress.
The “Enola Holmes” star made headlines last week for making allegations of bullying and harassment against Harbor ahead of season 5 filming in early 2024.
“There were pages and pages of accusations,” a source told the Daily Mail, clarifying that Haber was not accused of sexual misconduct. “The investigation continued for months.”
Brown was reportedly accompanied by a representative on the set of the final episode of the Netflix series, but executive producer Shawn Levy told The Hollywood Reporter on Thursday that he had seen “grossly inaccurate” coverage of the scandal.
But Levy said, “We have to create a respectful workplace where everyone feels comfortable and safe. So we’ve made every effort to create that environment, and we’re proud of the fact that we’ve done so.”
Harbor has had a rocky year, divorcing his wife Lily Allen and appearing to be accused of infidelity in the release of his heartbreaking new album, West End Girl, last month.
As for Brown, she and husband Jake Bongiovi adopted a baby girl in August and became parents.
