Miley Cyrus may be the face of Maybelline, but we can’t take our eyes off her outfit in the beauty brand’s latest campaign.
The singer recently partnered with the drugstore cosmetics giant to share a new video promoting her new product Serum Lipstick.
In the video, she takes to the stage wearing bright red lipstick and holding a microphone, her hair blowing in the wind.
For the performance, she wore a micro-mini white dress with fully exposed sides that was fastened with just a few hardware. Her shoulders are adorned with gold horse bits, a signature motif. On top of that, she wears a long white fur coat that puddles at her feet.
The entire costume is custom made by Gucci.
While admittedly bold, the look still stands in contrast to the Maison Margiela campaign from just a few months ago, when she wore only artistic body paint.
Cyrus was named Maybelline’s new global spokesperson in late September. She announced the partnership on Instagram, writing, “Maybelline New York has always been a part of my life,” adding, “I’m honored to join as the new face and voice of the brand I love.”
She was reportedly selected to bring a young, fresh perspective to the household cosmetics brand, which was founded in 1915.
“Confidence that lasts every moment, on and off stage,” the brand wrote in an Instagram caption celebrating the launch of its latest makeup products.
Maybe she was born with it?
Maybe it’s just Miley wearing Gucci by Maybelline.
