Desperate times are calling for hopeless measures – and Director Michael Bubret is pulling out all stops.
On Monday of the Voice Episode of October 6th, Theo Lambdel won a four-chair turn in a striking blind audition for Luis Miguel’s “History and Un Amor.”
“Your song is so sensual. It was sexy, I loved it, I was so moved. I didn’t understand what you said, but I’ll find it later.” “It was absolutely beautiful. Welcome to the voice.”
Bubre opened by introducing himself in Spanish – and director Snoop Dogg said, “Mike, we know you speak Spanish.”
“Brother, I want a moment with you,” the 50-year-old Bubre told Ramdel. “Listen, my four children, they are Latin children. In my house, my wife says I am not going to speak English. I listen to it every day, over and over again. If you don’t join my team, my wife may leave me.
Snoop wishes him a happy birthday in Spanish. I forgot about the Canadian crooner and teased it.

“That’s a little thing with me,” joked the rapper, 53-year-old. “Back to Theo, let me say this. You’re not just a singer. You’re not just a celebrity. There are artists on my label that you do Latin music, so I don’t just understand that, but also give room to grow, learn more about music from other genres, and perfect your style of music.”
Director Neil Hollan admitted that he did not speak “the Spanish language,” but said “hearing such a voice doesn’t require you to understand the language.”
“I understand the feelings. I sit down and write songs every day. I understand how to try to captivate listeners. I think I’m going to do that in abundance with this show. I really hope you chose me,” he said.
When it was time for him to choose, Snoop cried out “Viva la Mexico” at Lamdel, a native of Tijuana, Mexico.

He cried out “Michael!” as he opened his eyes.
“I haven’t seen you yet,” the singer jumped up excitedly, and later said she immediately felt a “deep and instant connection” with Ramdel.
“I think there are voices in Theo that cannot be defined in one genre. They are not particularly trapped in idioms or language,” he said. “I really hoped he would choose me, and I think Theo will be on the forefront and can really surprise a lot of people.”
Voice will air on NBC on Mondays and Tuesdays at 8pm. All episodes are available for streaming on Peacock the next day.
