Fiction and reality were met at Milan Fashion Week.
On Saturday, September 27th, Meryl Streep made a surprise appearance at the Spring/Summer 2026 show at Milan Fashion Week as fashion boss Miranda Prada 2 while filming fashion boss Miranda Prada 2.
Streep, 76, sat in the front row at the show next to her co-star Stanley Tucci, who appeared to be a character as Nigel Kipling, the film’s runway art director. Costar Simone Ashley also sat behind a fictional fashion icon and appeared together after the show. Ashley plays a new character in the highly anticipated sequel.
Before joining the show, 75-year-old Streep and Wintour met each other and the pair seemed to be getting along beautifully, as seen in a video posted to Instagram by Vogue. In the clip, Streep and Wintour shared a hug and chatted happily as they stood by the leopard print interior.

Streep wore the character’s signature white-gray cropped hairstyle, and was dressed in Full Miranda Priest Mode in a latex camel-colored trench coat with a leopard print belt and matching clutch, black trousers, white sunglasses and a satin pump.
Meanwhile, Wintour wore a colorful floral maxi dress with hekinskin heeled boots. She decorated her outfit with a gold chain necklace and stacks of black sunglasses while she had her long-standing bob haircut.

Streep and Tucci were joined by several actors who filmed scenes for the sequel to the American Museum of Natural History in New York City.
Devil Wears Prada 2 will see several cast members return from the original 2006 film The Devil Wears Prada. Anne Hathaway will be seen on-screen as Miranda’s senior personal assistant Emily Charlton, including Andrea “Andy” Sachs and Emily Blunt.
According to Variety, the sequel follows the priest.
Devilware Prada 2 is scheduled to be released on May 1, 2026.
