Melania Trump has her talk about tailoring.
On Thursday, the First Lady took part in a meeting with the White House Task Force on Artificial Intelligence Education in a beige linen pinstriped power suit.
The double-breasted linen pants suit – worn with a crunchy white T-shirt, ivory belt and Sky High Stiletto pump – was designed by Italian label Max Mara.
In 2024, the Slovenian-born model wore a Max Mara jumpsuit and a $15,000 Hermes Kelly bag for her first appearance, following Donald Trump’s “hash money” conviction. And during President Trump’s first term, she chose a pale blue wrap coat from the brand.
Pinstripes are a staple food for 55 years old. When she and Donald hosted then Prime Minister Justin Trudeau in 2017, she was found in Ralph Lauren’s pinstripe suit.
And just this summer she attended the US Army’s 250th anniversary parade in a beige pinstripe double-breasted skirt suit by Adam Lippes, who designed the 2025 inauguration coat.
Her pinstripe previval lies within the stable rhythm of part-time residency at the White House as it divides time between DC, Mar-A-Lago and New York.
“Melania Trump got exactly how she would become a first lady, just her terms,” a White House source told Page 6 around the time of her inauguration deadline, highlighting her selective approach to both appearance and messaging.
Melania’s wardrobe often sought a controversy, especially “I really don’t care, do you?” The 2018 Zara jacket was worn during a visit to immigrants’ children’s detention center. This appearance has attracted the rage of the public and led to a viral fundraiser that benefits immigrant families.
In contrast, her Max Mala Pinstripe rarely ignites repulsion, but still conveys the power, Poland, a carefully controlled aesthetic that defined her public image.
