First Lady Melania Trump looked back at the 2025 Inauguration Day with black-and-white photos of various events surrounding her husband Donald Trump’s swearing-in.
“One year ago today, I was once again given the call to serve my country. Being First Lady is not just a privilege, it is a great responsibility,” the 55-year-old first lady said in a post on X on Tuesday, January 20th.
“As we continue on this journey together, we must remember that hope is a powerful force and that our vision of creating a brighter future for everyone is within reach,” she continued.
The post includes a video slideshow of the first lady’s day, including her swearing-in ceremony at the U.S. Capitol, the inaugural parade at Capitol One Arena and her appearance at the Liberty Ball at the Washington Convention Center.
Donald, 79, took the oath of office on January 20, 2025, but the ceremony was moved at the last minute inside the Capitol Rotunda due to frigid temperatures.

A new CNN/SSRS poll found that 58% of Americans view Donald Trump’s first year in office as a “failure,” and only 39% approve of the way he is handling his role as president.
