Melania Trump is in her “Top Gun” era.
The First Lady led Charlotte “Charlie” Blackwood on Sunday as part of a salute to the fleet’s celebration to mark the 250th anniversary.
The 55-year-old wore a brown leather bomber jacket for this weekend’s event. She paired it with a collared white shirt and dark-washed denim jeans.
She completed the look with an aviator shade and added a white baseball cap with “America” embroidered on the front.
This look reminded me of the love interest of Tom Cruise’s beloved “Top Gun” character US Navy Aviator Lieutenant Colonel Pete “Maverick” Mitchell, played by Kelly McGillis in the franchise.
To Melania, President Donald Trump visited USS George HW Bush, where he spoke to the sailors.
The duo received military demonstrations while standing on the deck of the aircraft carrier before Potus addressed an estimated crowd of 10,000 people.
In his speech, Trump targeted democratic lawmakers to shut down the current government.
“I want you to know that… we’ll get a service member for the last penny. Don’t worry about that,” Trump said, drawing cheers from the crowd.
Meanwhile, Melania seemed to be ecstatic to speak at the event, waving at the attendees and laughing widely.
After greeting the sailors at the “huya” where they returned, she said it was an honor now.
“Generations of sailors have kept America free for your presence on the high seas,” she gushed out in her speech.
“Your strength, courage and sacrifice inspire us all,” she added.
Last month, Melania flew across the pond to visit Windsor Palace with her husband, wearing looks that would stop multiple shows on her trip.
In addition to wearing a bright yellow off-shoulder Caroline Herrera gown with a lavender belt for dinner with the Royals, she and Kate Middleton matched the suede jacket during their visit.
