Meghan Trainor’s husband Daryl Sabara says he has no hard feelings toward Ashley Tisdale, despite her controversial essay on The Cut.
In the article, Tisdale blasted her former group of “toxic” moms, but fans quickly surmised from old photos that the group included Trainor, as well as Hilary Duff and Mandy Moore.
However, when TMZ caught up with Sabara in Los Angeles on Thursday, Sabara insisted there was “no drama here.”
“I’m just trying to make my kids happy, right?” he replied when asked about the headline.
“I don’t really know what’s going on, but I hope she’s okay,” he added of Tisdale.
The Spy Kids actor, 33, married Trainor in 2018 and they have two sons, Riley, 4, and Barry, 2.
Traynor, 32, acknowledged the mom group drama on TikTok on Thursday, but took a humorous approach.
In a video she posted to accompany her 2025 song “Still Don’t Care,” the “All About That Bass” singer shared her surprised reaction while reading the drama online.
“Obviously found out about mom group drama,” she wrote above the clip.
Tisdale, 40, caused a stir when she criticized former mom groups in an essay published last week.
The actress claimed that she felt “not chill enough” because she was excluded from the group’s hangouts and that she was “no longer sure” why she was being excluded.
The mother of two said she eventually texted the group saying, “This is too high school for me and I don’t want to participate anymore.”
Unlike Sabara, Duff’s husband, musician Matthew Koma, didn’t take the high road. He fired back at Tisdale via an Instagram Story posted on Tuesday.
Koma posted a fake mock-up photo of herself on the cover of “The Cut” with the headline, “Group of mothers tells everything through the eyes of fathers: When you’re the most self-centered tone-deaf person on the planet, other mothers tend to shift their focus to their actual infants.”
He added a sarcastic caption: “Read our new interview with @thecut.”
