Duchess Meghan has given a new interview with author Courtney Adamo. The Duchess of Sussex has given a rare insight into the life of her four-year-old daughter Lili. She also talked about how she likes to start her day.
On Wednesday, Meghan Markle attended a special event at Godmothers Bookstore in Montecito, California, where she was interviewed by friend and Northwestern sorority sister Courtney Adamo. Adamo is the author of “The Family Home: Inspiring Ideas for a Home Filled with Joy,” and they were there to support the publication of the book.
The Duchess of Sussex was asked about her morning routine, including how she starts her day with her children Archie, six, and Lilibet, four.
“The first thing I do when I wake up in the morning is play music at home,” Meghan said. She then talked about how she brings a portable speaker with her to maintain a routine despite her busy schedule, which requires a lot of travel. The Duchess also always carries scented candles with her.

She also has a routine with Lilibet.
“Our daughter is four years old and she has such a strong personality and is incredible,” she said. “And now she’s in a moment where I say, ‘What’s your rose and what’s your thorn?’ And she says, ‘My day was really good.’
Later in the conversation, Meghan mentioned a “comfort blanket” she received as a gift from bookstore co-founder Victoria Jackson, which she said her children wrap themselves in when they feel unwell.
Meghan attended the event wearing a monochrome black look, which included a silk tank top and matching black pants. She had her hair tied up and was wearing black sandals. Afterward, she served As Ever Wine to attendees on the bookstore’s patio.
