Fans have accused Meghan Markle of taking part in the Balenciaga fashion show after the brand was “cancelled” for using a child in a creepy ad.
On Saturday, the Duchess of Sussex made her debut at Paris Fashion Week in a white long-sleeved button-down tunic with flowing capes and matching slacks.
A Markle spokesman said he attended the event in July to support Pal Pierpaolo Piccioli, who became the home’s creative director.
“Suit” alum 44 was praised for how amazing she is, but other fans questioned why the Netflix star supports a brand that has been involved in so many controversies.
“The “Duchess” of hypocrisy: a woman going to a fashion show that claims to defend the interests of children and runs a disgusting campaign with their children,” wrote one user on Instagram.
“Why does she go to a Balenciaga show? How can her mother support the brand?” I added another one.
“Canceled women show up for cancelled brands. What mothers think fetishes are taking part in a home fashion show using child models posing for Teddy Bears?” claimed a third party.
“Yeah, kids’ brand… It’s a great @Meghan,” the fourth netizen commented.
“Balenciaga shows that p*rn and abuse and pedophilia in children and that Meghan really cares.
“I miss everything about the kids that appear in the Balenciaga show. How gross🤢,” another fan wrote.

Balenciaga fired for two different campaigns in 2022. One of them featured children carrying teddy bears fitted in bondage-style leather costumes.
The backlash was quick, but the fashion house tackled the controversy and apologized for the nature of the filming.
That November, Balenciaga filed a $25 million lawsuit against the producers of the advertising campaign. However, the following month the company dropped the lawsuit.
He continues to support Balenciaga after the controversy, including Kim Kardashian, who returned to wearing designer clothes in April 2023.
