She is adjusting her hatred.
Meghan Markle claimed that people were “love” to the Netflix show “love, Meghan,” and that people who criticize it online are “trying to pay the bill.”
The Duchess of Sussex said on Tuesday on “Circuit with Emily Chan,” which mentioned season one of her lifestyle shows mixed reviews.
“And if you know your audience, if you know your demographics, they love the show and my partner loves the show, so we have season 2 and why are we doing something even more fun?”
Markle, 44, insisted that hatred could also be a secret fan.
“Do you think that often a negative voice is saying something negative and secretly going home and making a single skillet spaghetti?” she said.
“And that’s fine. They’re trying to pay their bills. That’s what they sort out if they’re used to someone else’s disadvantage.”
Markle said the Netflix series is meant to be “sharing more (self) and to share the tips I like in my life and have fun.”
The “Suit” alum show “With Love, Meghan” has had mixed reviews about the series since it premiered on Netflix in March.
British critics have destroyed the show where Markle shares cooking and hosting tips.
Daily Mail columnist Amanda Platell argued that the series was “very convincing about what’s so scary,” and Guardian writer Stuart Heritage wrote a review of the project “may be Soastless The Sussexes’ last TV show.”
Heritage also claimed that there have been “a lot of whining” from both Markle and her husband Prince Harry, and that “Meghan’s thirsty part still exists.”
Independent Katie Roseinsky said the show “feels that millennial blogs are coming back to life” and “at the same time it takes away their aspirations and relevance in ways that never gel.”
Meanwhile, Anita Singh of Telegraph claimed that Markle had no real skills in the kitchen.
However, the show appeared to have received good reviews from US audiences.
Bianca Betancourt of Bazaar, Harper, said the two moms have returned to where she belongs and have returned to the roots of lifestyle gurus in Tig.
“Curated crosstinis and fresh mimosa aside, I can’t help but realize that Meghan is so happy. She is a mother, feels safe at home and has once again creative freedom,” writes Betankort.
Markle’s use of Le Creuset cookware in the series also caused a dramatic increase in sales.
Despite the backlash, “With Love, Meghan” was picked up for the second season and fell on Netflix on Tuesday.
