Meghan Markle and Prince Harry were spotted rooting for opposing teams during the 2025 World Series.
On Saturday, Nov. 1, the 44-year-old Duchess of Sussex posted a video to her Instagram Stories of her kissing the 41-year-old Duke of Sussex in celebration after the Los Angeles Dodgers defeated the Toronto Blue Jays 5-4 in Game 7 of the World Series.
Meghan was overjoyed at the home team’s victory and hugged her friend Kelly Mackie Zadifen. Prince Harry’s loyalties appeared to lie elsewhere, as an Instagram video showed him still sitting in his home theater during the celebrations.

Shortly after, Zazifen posted on his Instagram Story, “Best game ever!!! Sorry your team didn’t win, but mine didn’t. I love you @Dodgers!!!!”
The series of celebratory posts comes four days after Meghan Markle and Prince Harry were spotted wearing blue Dodger hats while watching Game 4 of the World Series at Dodger Stadium.
The pair cheered on Meghan’s home team from the front row after MLB shared a video of their arrival at the X.
Later that night, Meghan posted a video of Prince Harry cheering on the Dodgers to her Instagram Stories, documenting their “date night.” The couple also enjoyed stadium food, with Meghan hiding a smile as she ate the special Dodger dog.

Following his appearance on match day, Harry received some backlash for rooting for the American team rather than the Canadian team due to his ties to the British Commonwealth and the royal family.
The couple have called California home since stepping down as senior members of the royal family and moving to Meghan’s home state in 2020, but Prince Harry is now revealing who he’s really rooting for.
The couple has strong ties to both cities in the 2025 World Series. For Meghan, Los Angeles is home. However, she lived in Toronto for several years while filming Suits.

In addition to calling both cities home, she is also distantly related to Dodgers All-Star shortstop Mookie Betts (real name Marcus Lynn Betts). She also took time to point out Mookie’s Golden Glove award during a behind-the-scenes tour of Dodger Stadium with Harry on her Instagram Story.
“I don’t expect that, but it’s interesting,” Mookie told The Boston Globe in 2018 after learning of their connection. “I know from family stories that our relatives were from Virginia and settled in Alabama, and there were Betts all over that area.”
