Meghan Markle and Prince Harry continue to appear at the Sundance Film Festival.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex made their first appearance on Saturday, January 24th at an annual special screening of their latest documentary, Cookie Queen, before attending the film’s premiere at the Utah-based film festival on Sunday, January 25th.
Duchess Meghan, 44, and Prince Harry, 41, posed on the red carpet with others involved in the production of the coming-of-age documentary, which follows four Girl Scouts during the group’s iconic cookie sales season.
The mother of two later spoke on stage at Sundance in support of the project.
Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan will serve as executive producers on the 91-minute film, which will be screened in the Family Matinee section of the Sundance Film Festival. Their involvement in the project was first announced in December.
The documentary was directed by Alisa Nahmias and produced by Archewell Productions in association with Beautiful Stories and AJNA Films.
The project is personal for Meghan, whose mother, Doria Ragland, is a troop leader and is a former Girl Scout who grew up in California.
“As a former Girl Scout myself and my mother as a troop leader, I have a personal affinity for this film,” Meghan said in a statement shared with Deadline. “I am proud that all of our conversations and collaborations led to Archewell Productions partnering with this award-winning team to executive produce this incredibly compelling documentary.”
“When I first saw the early footage, I immediately knew I wanted to be a part of this,” she continued. “The creative perspective, the edgy yet human tone, and the behind-the-scenes look at the nostalgic yet modern traditions of Girl Scout cookie season are fascinating.”

Meghan and Harry founded Archewell Productions in 2020 with a mission to spotlight “thought-provoking, diverse stories that highlight our common humanity and celebrate our communities” through film, television, documentaries and podcasts.
In April 2025, Meghan shared a childhood photo of herself selling Girl Scout cookies while promoting the launch of Lemonada Media’s podcast Confessions of a Female Founder.
“Entrepreneurship starts young,” she wrote at the time. “(By the way, all these years later, I’m still selling cookies!)” This nod resonated even more since Meghan now sells cookie mixes through her As Ever lifestyle brand.
