Sheriff Mickey Fox’s personal relationships are as complex and compelling as the criminal cases she handles in Sheriff Country.
The spin-off of the CBS drama Fire Country, which will premiere on October 17th, follows Mickey (Morena Baccarin), a tough and no-nonsense law enforcement officer in the small town of Edgewater, California, as he grapples with both local crime and his own complicated home life.
Mickey’s personal world is fraught with tension, from her uneasy relationship with her ex-husband Travis (Christopher Gorham) and troubled daughter Skye (Amanda Arcuri) to the challenges posed by her father, Wes (W. Earl Brown), an ex-convict.
Off screen, Baccarin knows the realities of co-parenting. She has a son with ex-husband Austin Chick and two children with her husband, actor Ben McKenzie.
Here’s everything you need to know about the real life partners of the Sheriff Country cast.

Morena Baccarin hangs up her Mickey Foxx sheriff’s uniform and heads home to her husband, actor Ben McKenzie.
The two met on the Fox show Gotham in 2014 and married on Baccarin’s 38th birthday in 2017.
Mackenzie and the “Sheriff Country” star have two children, Frances and Arthur, and Baccarin is also mom to son Julius with ex-husband Austin Chick.

“She still lights up the room. I love you,” Gorham wrote on Instagram in honor of the couple’s wedding anniversary in January 2025.
The Sheriff Country star, who plays Mickey’s ex-husband Travis, has three children with Lopez: Ethan, Lucas and Jamie.

Michelle Weaver, who plays Lieutenant Cassidy, often shows her love for her husband on Instagram, but she has never publicly mentioned his name.
The couple married in December 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Weaver wrote on Instagram in January 2021, “Having a beautiful guestless ceremony in front of the God I serve and for someone I deeply love and respect was the best and hardest decision I have ever made.”
“Don’t be fooled by your natural eyes, but act in faith,” she continued. “I got more than I ever dreamed of…a real love story! Best friend, confidant, leader, anchor, teacher, bodyguard, just to name a few…”
Weaver and her husband have a daughter, born in March 2023, and are currently pregnant with their second child.

Matt Lauria, who plays Vice President Boone, was married to his wife Michelle Armstrong for a while and calls this his greatest accomplishment.
“We first met when we were 16 years old,” Lauria told Broadway.com in 2013. “The following summer, I was back in Colorado working as a ranch hand and she was working as a whitewater rafting guide…We started dating when we were 17 and the rest is history.”

W. Earl Brown, who plays Mickey’s father, Wes, and his wife, Carrie Pascal, grew up in Callaway County, Kentucky, home of Murray State University.
“We were high school sweethearts…sort of. When we first started dating, I was already at Murray State University, and she joined me there a few years later,” Brown told the university in 2022.
The two married in July 1989 and had a daughter, Anna.
Max Thieriot and Lexi Murphy

“Fire Nation” star Max Thieriot will reprise his role as Mickey’s nephew in the pilot for the CBS spinoff, but it’s unclear how long he will appear. After all, there’s plenty of fire on the board to fight at Edgewater.
Like many of her co-stars, Thieriot is also married. He met his current wife, Lexi Murphy, while vacationing in the Caribbean with their respective families. They were 16 years old at the time.
In May 2024, he joked on The Talk, “I’m not sure what she saw in me.” “I had a perfect skater build and bleached blonde hair at the time…I don’t know if she knew I was the one, but I knew she was the one.”
The couple, who married in 2013, now have two sons, Beau and Maximus.
