Variety exclusively reported that Nestor Carbonell has joined Season 5 of “The Mayor of Kingstown.”
In January, it was announced that the Paramount+ show’s fifth season would be its last. Carbonell will reprise his role as Enrique Molina, described as a “boss who comes to Kingstown to avenge his missing relative.”
He joins series star Jeremy Renner and cast members Edie Falco, Laura Benanti, Hugh Dillon, Taylor Hundley, Tobi Bamtefa, Derek Webster, David Morse, Necar Zadegan, Nicole Galicia, and Lennie James.
Production on the final season is currently underway in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. It consists of a total of 8 episodes.
Carbonell won an Emmy Award for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama Series for his role on FX’s hit series “Shogun.” He is currently a regular on Apple TV’s “The Morning Show.” He is known for his roles on shows such as “Lost,” “Bates Motel,” “The Tick,” and “Person of Interest.” He has appeared in films such as “The Rip,” “The Dark Knight,” “The Dark Knight Rises,” “Smoking Ace,” and “Jack the Dog.”

The official description for Season 5 of “The Mayor of Kingstown” reads:
“In the wake of Tracy’s murder and Mike (Renner) and Kyle (Hundley)’s revenge on Callahan, FBI agent Russell Hardy (Morss) arrives in Kingstown in search of the ‘fugitive’ Callahan. Agent Hardy, a true lawman, threatens to expose all of Mike’s sins and secrets and disrupt Kingstown’s delicate balance of power.”
Taylor Sheridan co-produced The Mayor of Kingstown with Hugh Dillon. Both will serve as executive producers along with Renner, Antoine Fuqua, David C. Glasser, Ron Burkle, David Hutkin, Bob Yari, Michael Friedman, Dave Erickson, Wendy Liss, Evan Perazzo, Michael Slovis, Regina Corrado and Keith Cox. Erickson also serves as showrunner for the series. The series is produced by Paramount Television Studios, 101 Studios, and Bosque Ranch Productions.
