Season 2 of “Hollywood Demons” examines five new stories that touch on the dark side of fame, including the death of Matthew Perry, the rise of “The Jerry Springer Show,” and child actors who grow up to become porn stars.
“Hollywood is a very dark and scary place,” someone says in the trailer for the new season of the Investigation Discovery series. The season will air on April 20th at 9pm on ID and will also be available to stream on HBO Max. The five-episode season promises to deliver gripping stories about Hollywood scandals.
One episode explores the “stalking” and “crime” behind the scenes of “Save by the Bell.” Another story features a “16-year-old pregnant” subject who became homeless after the series. And the season will focus on several former child stars who have transitioned into the adult film industry, including Phil of the Future’s Dan Benson, The Bold and the Beautiful’s Maitland Ward and Scott Schwartz of A Christmas Story.
The show will also investigate Perry’s death in 2023, caused by the effects of a ketamine overdose, and will examine the “vulgarity” and “chaos” of “The Jerry Springer Show,” with one subject claiming in the trailer that “they destroyed my life.”
“Hollywood Demons” is a documentary series from Investive Discovery and Ample Entertainment, the producers of “Quiet on Set.” The first season began in 2025 and tackled subjects such as the Von Erichs wrestling dynasty, the allegations against “7th Heaven” actor Stephen Collins, and the Power Rangers scandal. ID is the true crime network behind titles like “The Fall of Diddy,” “Homicide Hunter,” and “See No Evil.”
