Match Factory wins multiple contracts for “Queen at Sea” and “Rose”

Match Factory has signed multiple distribution deals for Lance Hammer’s Berlinale Award-winning Queen at Sea and Markus Schleinzer’s Rose.

“Queen at Sea” won the Silver Bear Jury Award, as well as the Silver Bear Award for Best Supporting Actor for Tom Courtenay and Anna Calder-Marshall.

Following its world premiere, Match Factory secured distribution in several territories including the UK and Ireland (Curzon), Poland (Aurora), Benelux (Imagine Films), South Korea (Sharan), Switzerland (Frenetic Films), Greece (Sinovo), Portugal (FILMS4YOU), the former Yugoslavia (InvestaCommerce AG), the Baltic States (Scanorama) and Taiwan (Andrews Films). Central and South America (Cine Cannibal).

The film is produced by Tristan Goliger and Hammer for the Bureau.

“Rose” won the Silver Bear for Best Actor in a Leading Role, which was awarded to Sandra Hüller.

Match Factory has signed distribution rights deals in a wide range of territories including France (KMBO), Spain (Avalon), Benelux (Paradiso), Poland (Gutek), South Korea (Pancinema), Denmark (Ost For Paradis), Sweden and Iceland (Edge), Norway (Fidalgo), Finland (Future Film Oy), Hungary (Cirko Film) and Portugal (No). Comboio), Greece (Weirdwave), the Czech Republic and Slovakia (Zero Gravity), Bulgaria (Beta Films), the former Yugoslavia (MCF Megacom), the Middle East and North Africa (Gulf Films), Israel (Lev Cinemas), and the Baltic States (Scanorama).

Additionally, the film will be distributed in Germany (Piffl), Austria (Filmladen) and Switzerland (Filmcoopi).

Rose is an Austrian-German co-production between Schubert, Lowe Pictures, and Walker + Wurm Films, produced by Johannes Schubert, Philipp Volm, Tobias Walker, and Carsten Stäter.

Negotiations are underway for additional territories for both films.
