“MasterChef” has been renewed twice on Fox, with the cooking competition series running for seasons 16 and 17.

Gordon Ramsay returns as host and judge, with judges Joe Bastianich and Tiffany Derry also returning. In this series, a group of home cooks compete for a chance to win $250,000 in prize money. Season 15 aired from May to September and was the summer’s top cooking show among adults 18-49, averaging 3.5 million viewers across platforms.

“MasterChef” is based on the format created by Franc Roddam and is represented internationally by Banihay Entertainment. Banijay Americas’ Endemol Shine North America is produced using Gordon Ramsay’s One Potato Two Potato. Ramsay will serve as executive producer along with Elizabeth Murdoch, Danny Schrader, Gordon Ramsay, Jennifer Fuzzy, Pat Llewellyn, Ben Adler and Sharon Levy.

“‘MasterChef’ continues to be a standout series for Fox, amassing a loyal fan base each season to witness the transformation of amateur chefs into culinary masters,” said Yasmin Rouzi, executive vice president of unscripted, Fox Entertainment. “Gordon Ramsay, Joe Bastianich, and Tiffany Dery will provide their culinary expertise, guidance, and heart. We can’t wait to see what they and our partners at Endemol Shine North America have in store for Seasons 16 and 17 of MasterChef.”

“Securing a pickup for two seasons, Seasons 16 and 17, is great news and a testament to MasterChef’s unstoppable momentum. We are so grateful to Fox for always opening the door and inspiring new creative ideas to keep the series fun and fresh,” said Michael Heyerman, executive producer and senior vice president of unscripted original series for Endemol Shine North America. “We’ve got two absolutely amazing themes for the new season that we think our fans will love. We’re excited to get back in the kitchen with Gordon, Joe and Tiffany and build on the incredible chemistry and high standards we built last season!”
