Martha Stewart is revealing the truth behind the plastic surgery rumors surrounding her stunningly youthful appearance.
“Everyone claims I’ve had plastic surgery, but I’ve never had plastic surgery,” she said of her skin care line, Elm Biosciences.
“I’m the most honest person on the planet. But if they don’t believe me, I don’t know.”
“Why don’t they believe my words?” she wondered further in an interview published Friday, insisting, “It’s the truth!”
Stewart, 84, admitted that a plastic surgeon performed facial repair surgery after sustaining a facial injury about 10 years ago, but she is not thinking about the surgery.
“I had to go to work at 7 a.m. today, and there was a huge snowstorm. I hunkered down in the dark kitchen to kiss the dogs goodbye,” she recalled of an accident involving one of her French bulldogs.
“I lowered my head to one of my French bulldogs to scare her and she woke up.”
“She didn’t bite me. She slammed my lip against my teeth and tore it from my lip almost to my nose and blood started gushing all over the dog,” she continued. “It’s 11pm during a snowstorm. This is the only time I’ve ever missed an appearance.”
Stewart and her security guard then drove through a snowstorm to the hospital, where she demanded to be seen by a plastic surgeon “immediately.”
“When I got to the hospital, I think they had 16 stitches in my lip,” she said. “I wouldn’t call it plastic surgery. It’s a repair. It’s a bad, bad, bad lip tear… You can’t see it. I healed very well. That’s the extent of my facial plastic surgeon.”
Stewart recently shared her morning skincare routine, adding: “This is the only time I’ve had a plastic surgeon touch my face.”
Back in September 2025, Stewart, who is known for posting epic thirst traps, shared that she had “a ton of people” sliding into her DMs. Still, she said she wasn’t dating anyone special during her time on “Today with Jenna & Friends.”
