Content creator turned Netflix star Mark Rober is launching a new competition series for the streamer titled “Schooled!”
Robar, a former NASA engineer, will also executive produce the series alongside CrunchLabs’ Scott Lewers and Kimmelot’s Jimmy Kimmel and Scott Lonker.
Daniel Kalin is showrunner and executive producer.
The logline reads, “Welcome to ‘Schooled’!” “Set in a fully gamified school, teams of student tinkerers compete in creative and explosive science challenges. Mark Rober is on a mission to discover the next generation of inventors, makers, and engineers. Winners take home life-changing prizes.”
Netflix is currently holding an open casting session to find school-age participants for the series. The release date has not been decided yet.
Rober, who founded the science and engineering company CrunchLabs in 2022 to inspire children and learners, launched the show of the same name in November 2025 and quickly racked up more than 12 million views in two months. More episodes will be released on March 16th.
“I couldn’t be more excited to team up with Netflix and Jimmy Kimmel to bring you ‘Schooled!’ For Life,” Robar said of his new show. “Our series aims to give children a stage large enough to express their ideas. This will be the ultimate playground where science, creativity and competition come together. I’m so excited to see what the students come up with. My expectations are high and I’m ready to be overwhelmed.”
John Derderian, vice president of children’s and family television at Netflix, added: “Mark Rober is a master of the ‘wow’ moment, and we’ve seen firsthand how much our members love his unique brand of science-fueled spectacle. We’re taking that energy to the next level with ‘Schooled!'” It’s not just a competition. It’s a celebration of creativity and engineering. This is truly the kind of collaborative viewing experience that brings families together, and we can’t wait to see what these young makers and modders create in the halls of the CrunchLabs Academy. ”
