Edgar Linton, who?
Margot Robbie brought some sparkle to the City of Love on Monday, arriving on the red carpet at the Paris premiere of Wuthering Heights in a suitably romantic style.
The 35-year-old actress looked like Victorian royalty in a custom red velvet ball gown by Chanel, perfectly gathered around her waist and flowing into a dramatic train accented with feathers.
Accessorized with a corset, the piece’s simple neckline highlighted Robbie’s stunning jewelry. A huge diamond necklace set in a red velvet choker and a huge matching ring.
This necklace was custom-made by renowned jeweler Lorraine Schwartz and features a whopping 85 carats of champagne diamonds, including a giant old mine-cut stone surrounded by a ring of smaller diamonds on the band, with a pear-shaped pendant suspended below.
The ring was also made by Schwartz and weighed a whopping 15 carats.
Robbie kept her hair and makeup fresh and simple for the French premiere.
Schwartz is known for his use of champagne diamonds and has worn colored stones on everyone from Kim Kardashian to Beyoncé to Blake Lively. She coined the term “nude diamond” to highlight the warm pink-brown color that enhances the wearer’s skin tone.
No two Champagne diamonds are alike, making them especially rare and unique.
Robbie, who plays Catherine Earnshaw in Emerald Fennell’s film adaptation of Emily Bronte’s novel, has been making quite a presence in press looks for Wuthering Heights, styled by Andrew Mukamal.
At the New York premiere of her new film, she stole the show in a black and red Schiaparelli dress with an elegant lace bodice, but once again it was her jewelry that stole the show.
The Australian star wore a Cartier necklace set with Elizabeth Taylor’s heart-shaped Taj Mahal diamond.
The romantic piece of jewelry was famously gifted to the late Taylor by Richard Burton on her 40th birthday, and the parsi has the words “Love is Forever” engraved on it. Robbie paired the necklace with 35-carat diamond earrings custom-made by Taylor’s close friend Schwartz.
Meanwhile, Jacob Elordi maintained the gentlemanly sensibilities of his character Heathcliff by wearing a smart suit throughout the press tour. In Paris, he wore a chocolate brown suit over a high-necked shirt.
With the heart-throbbing film set to hit theaters on Valentine’s Day, we can only imagine the sexy looks the duo will debut next.
