Protagonist Pictures has signed on to “Love Language,” a new romantic film starring Chloe Grace Moretz (“Peripherals,” “The Miseducation of Cameron Post”) and will introduce the film to buyers at next month’s American Film Market.
In this feature, the protagonist reunites with Oscar-winning indie production company Caviar, with whom he collaborated on the films Sound of Metal and War Pony.
Written and directed by Joey Power (After Everything, Banana Splits), Love Language also stars Anthony Ramos (Twisters, In the Heights) and Manny Jacinto (A Also starring are Isabel May (1883, Masters of the Air), Lucas Gage (The White Lotus, Euphoria), and Billie Lourd. (“The Last Showgirl”, “Booksmart”). Currently in post-production.
After a failed engagement, Lou (Moretz) discovers that she has a talent for writing wedding vows for others. Word has spread through the Chicago wedding world, and Lou’s services are in high demand. She also has a new fan in Dash (Ramos). But everything changes when Lou’s college sweetheart, Warren (Jacinto), and Olivia (Mae), who are getting married, ask her to write vows.
Caviar is produced by Ali Lubet for Three Arts Entertainment, Colin Jost and Jeff Grosvenor for No Notes Productions, and Bert Hamelinck and Alison Hironaka, who arranged the full financing for “Love Language.” Executive producers include Caviar’s Michael Sagor, Joey Power, and Tyson Bidner. CAA Media Finance represents the U.S. rights.

Behind the camera on Love Language are Power along with cinematographer Andrew Wede (The Bear, Eighth Grade), editor Jennifer Vecchiarello (Reality, My Old Us), production designer Merje Vesky (The Bear, Jupiter Ascending) and costume designer Olivia Perdock.
