According to her parents, Lynn Manuel Miranda’s son has finally joined the legion of Hamilton fans.
Speaking exclusively to people at the Hamilton Outdoor Show at the Dela Corte Theatre in New York City on Wednesday, September 3rd, Lewis A. Miranda Jr. and Lews Towns Mylanda said Sebastian, 10, the son of Lynn Manuel’s elder, was “warming up” to the Broadway show that hit the father’s show that his father created.
“It’s on stage,” Lewis says. “The old ones, Sebastian, now we’re even warming up to Hamilton.”
“Little kids, all Encanto songs and long time,” he continues, referring to Lynn Manuel’s seven-year-old son, Francisco. “And then, “We don’t talk about Bruno.”

Lewis and Lews also spoke to people about how proud they are of their son during Hamilton’s 10th anniversary. The milestone is marked by the theatrical release of live-captured performances from the original Broadway production, filmed at the Richard Rogers Theatre in June 2016 and released on Disney+ in 2020.
“It’s such an incredible work of art, so I hope that greatness will continue,” Lewis says. “It’s a big screen now and it’s even more important to us because we couldn’t go to Broadway. We didn’t have the money to go to Broadway, but we always went to movies.
“It’s an original cast, and this is huge,” adds Luz.

Lewis also recalled for the first time that Lynn Manuel played a song from Hamilton to him while he was still working on it.
“He was invited to the White House. He was asked to sing something from Heights. He told me, “Dad, you know I’m working on Hamilton. Do you think I can play the only song I have?” “He remembers. “I’m ‘No, no, why don’t you do what we know?’
Lewis continues: “But he presented it to the White House. They love it, and the rest is history.”
Lynn Manuel also spoke to people at the premiere on Wednesday, reflecting on what he would like to say about him one day.
“I hope they like what I wrote, and I hope they thought I was good,” he says. “I think what I’m most proud of is the number of great actors who have one of my shows as the first line on my resume, as well as the number of Broadway debuts and equity cards.”
“We’ve got an incredibly talented actor of color just because we’re always trying to get us on the board. Yeah, that’s all,” he adds.
