A secret affair ensues, consisting of a fleeting secret meeting in a hotel room. However, over time, Leah becomes obsessed with Rocco, and she increasingly invades his life, taking the story in unexpected and disturbing directions.

“After years of writing scripts for other directors, I decided to make my directorial debut with ‘Breve Storia d’Amore’ (‘A Brief Affair’) to explore the complexities of human relationships in a very personal way, asking myself questions about purity, betrayal, desire and the mystery that others always represent to us,” Lampoldi said in a statement.
Produced by Indigo Films, HT Films and RAI Cinema, ‘A Brief Affair’ will have its world premiere at the Rome Film Festival on Thursday. It will be released theatrically in Italy on November 27th through RAI Cinema’s 01 distribution division.
