“Love Island USA” star Taylor Williams suffered a brutal injury after being thrown off a horse while attending Scottsdale’s Arizona Invitational Black Rodeo.
A clip of the accident, shared on social media on Friday night, showed the reality TV star horse tripping another horse before it fell to the ground.
Williams appeared to be stuck under the animal’s body as the animal rolled him. He lay on the ground for a while, then officials eventually helped him.
Williams, 24, confirmed the accident and provided an update on Saturday’s health via Instagram stories as he promoted upcoming appearances at the local 11:11 nightclub.
“I had a horse accident last night, and I’m still injured tonight!” he wrote. “It’s my brother’s birthday (you know) we’re still going to turn!”
He tracked the post with a photo of himself lying on a stretcher wearing a neck brace.
He also wrote that he wrote from fellow Love Island USA co-star Jaylen Brown, “sent all my prayers and positive vibes for a quick recovery.”
Williams replied “Dawg was precision,” adding a light blue heart emoji.
Williams appeared in season 7 of the Peacock Dating series, and fans quickly became aware of the cowboy hat wearing stars for their affinity for country life.
The Oklahoma native first joined with fan favorite Olandia Calten, but eventually finished his run on the show with a couple with the customer bombshell Clark Caraway.
The pair made it all the way up to the penultimate episode of the show when they were voted from the island.
According to a July interview with Williams Variety, the couple are still together and are currently working on “making (their) relationship work” outside the villa.
“We’ve started talking about the real world. I want her to come to Oklahoma, and I’ll go and see her in Charlotte,” Williams said of his hometown of Oklahoma City.
“We met each other outside the villa and had a conversation about making the relationship work.”
