Louis Partridge is open about her relationship with Olivia Rodrigo.
In a new interview with Esquire UK published on Thursday, September 18th, the 22-year-old actor addressed the response to a much lower profile outing at Wimbledon on July 2nd.
Partridge told the magazine he wasn’t ready for all the attention that a tennis outing brought about.
“I didn’t know that would turn out to be,” he said. “I saw a lot of photos from there, and (and) it was pretty public.”
“Olivia and I either choose not to be publicly public,” he continued. “It was clearly a very big summer for her with Glastonbury, but there’s a sacredness to being private.”

A few days before his appearance at Wimbledon, 22-year-old Rodrigo played the headline set at the Glastonbury Festival on June 29th, with Partridge watching from the Wings.
“It was a truly special moment,” the Enola Holmes star told Esquire UK. “And she worked very hard for it, and it all came together. It was pretty special to be there and see her get her flowers.”
As for the spotlight date, Partridge told the outlet he and Rodrigo were celebrities and helped them know everything that comes with their fame.
“I don’t think (it helps), yeah, I don’t think you need to blow it proportionally or explain it or have someone understand it,” he said. “For example, we are definitely involved for the right reasons. I’m sure that’s something you have to think about when you reach a certain level of success.”

Speaking to Variety for an interview issued on September 12th, Partridge said he was “very happy” in his relationship with the “driving license” singer. “I think she’s there too, so everything is good in our world,” he added.
Partridge and Rodrigo first sparked dating rumors in October 2023, then confirmed their romance when they kissed in New York City in December.
The actor shared a rare Instagram post about his pop star girlfriend on June 30th, celebrating Glastonbury’s performance.
“I hope I caught Olivia’s show last night, it’s such a massive, truly special performance,” Partridge wrote. “She made her ass work for it and couldn’t have deserved any better for all her success and the massive crowd she was watching. What a moment.”
