Lisa Rinna made her most dramatic red carpet appearance yet, turning heads with both her outfit and her unconventional charm.
Rinna attended the 2025 British Fashion Awards on Monday night, where she was a guest of designer Maximilian Rayner and modeled his sculptural work on the red carpet.
Her glam team (including hair by Sam Elliott) took her to the next level with a bleached Bouffant-style hairstyle and matching bleached eyebrows, making her almost unrecognizable as a soap star.
This ensemble was created using gingham plaid in a black and white pattern. It featured dramatic high shoulders and a peplum waist, which was paired with a fitted, thick fringed skirt.
“This is haute couture from head to toe, honey,” Rinna told Perfect Magazine on the red carpet. “This is haute couture, but it’s haute couture made for me by him,” she added, gesturing toward Raynor.
10 Magazine went behind the scenes before the event and spoke with Rinna and Raynor about the night and, of course, the look.
“For me, it’s very symbolic for someone in LA to come to the British Fashion Awards,” she said. “It’s like… better than the Met Gala,” she added quietly.
“I told you! I think it’s more chic than the Met Gala. I just…I’ve never been there…but I still want to go.”
The designer described the custom couture look as “drama, glamor, LA meets London… Vampish meets mid-century.”
Indeed, Rinna’s retro hairstyle contributes to the atmosphere.
“It’s in this wonderful check that resembles your grandpa’s shirt, but embraced and elevated,” he continued, adding, “This is exactly that exploration, but fused with Maximilian Rainer’s women’s textiles.”
While this may be remembered as one of the star’s most dramatic red carpet looks, it’s not the first time she’s changed her signature brunette bob to suit the moment.
Last summer, Rinna attended Viktor & Rolf’s fall 2025 haute couture show in Paris, wearing a similarly plunging trench coat and wearing her bleached (and slightly purple) hair in a floppy updo.
Her latest look that gets attention?
“I’m so excited for Lisa to wear this for the first time,” Raynor said.
