Lily Allen definitely hit below the belt with her latest jab at her estranged husband David Harbour.
According to the London Standard, the singer handed out butt plugs as party favors at a party to celebrate the release of her new album West End Girl.
Last Friday, guests reportedly left a party with blue and white polka dot sex toys. This is a direct reference to her scathing lyrics on the album’s song “Py Palace,” which details Harbor’s alleged affair.
Some guests seemed to hint on social media that the sex toy was actually a USB containing her album, which resembled a butt plug, but Allen’s rep could not immediately confirm if it was real.
In the new song, Allen, 40, laments, “Sex toys, butt plugs, lube inside/Hundreds of Trojan horses, you’re so broken/How did I get caught up in your double life?”
The lyrics also claim Harbor, 50, is a “sex addict” and accuse her partner of leading a “double life” despite their open marriage.
While “P—y Palace” has some of the most devastating lyrics, the entire album, her first release in seven years, was apparently inspired by the breakup of her marriage to the “Stranger Things” star.
In another song, “Tennis,” she sings about her husband confronting her over text messages with a woman named Madeline, wanting to know “was it just sex or were there feelings?”
Mr. Allen went on to discuss the union’s “arrangements” in detail. It was: “Be discreet, don’t do anything explicit/You have to be paid/You have to be with strangers.”
Since the album’s release, it has been revealed that the so-called “Madeline” is Natalie Tippett, a costume designer who met Harbor while filming a movie in New Orleans in 2021, and the two allegedly ended up having an affair.
“Of course I’ve heard the song,” Tippett told the Daily Mail last week, rolling her eyes.
“But I have a family and I have things to protect. I have a two-and-a-half-year-old daughter and I understand that this situation is happening,” the single mother added. “It’s a little scary for me.”
The “Smile” hitmaker spoke about the “betrayal” at the heart of the album in an interview with Perfect Magazine published Tuesday.
“There are definitely some things that happened in my real life that are reflected in this record,” she revealed.
“Two people who were once together are no longer together. It’s really sad. It’s hard. It’s hard for me to not have a lover, right?”
News of Allen and Harbor’s separation broke in February after months of breakup speculation. That same month, the musician was admitted to a treatment center due to “emotional turmoil.”
She officially filed for divorce last month after five years of marriage.
Despite Allen exposing his messy breakup with Harbor through his new album, the actor has yet to open up about the breakup publicly and is actively doing his best to fend off questions about it.
